More Great Quotes

These quotes and tips are from people who have lost weight (not from me)

Forget perfection.
"When losing weight, you don't have to be perfect—just be consistent."

Keep a food journal online fitday.com

Take it slow."Set small goals, such as running a mile, instead of huge, unrealistic ones. Reaching them will motivate you to work harder."

Be prepared. "Keep nutritious snacks on hand at all times so you don't feel tempted to eat junk food. Look for ones that are high in fiber — they'll help you stay full longer."
Be prepared for snack attacks. "I work from home, so I don't keep sweets around — I'd be eating them all day. I stock my fridge with chopped veggies, like broccoli and cauliflower, so I always have a healthy snack handy."

Don't beat yourself up. "If you get off track one day, let it go and start again the next day."

Good luck you guys! Don't get discouraged, Get motivated.

A silly thing I once read to help push yourself harder during workouts is to chant in your head. My chant when I ran was, "farther, faster, harder...farther, faster, harder." Keep pushing yourselves past the point you think you can't go!

Discouragement, Inspiration, Motivation...

Habit is habit and not to be flung out of the window by any man, but coaxed downstairs a step at a time. -Mark Twain

It's not whether you get knocked down; it's whether you get up. -Vince Lombardi

Rule your mind or it will rule you. -Horace

Alright guys...it sounds like we're getting discouraged. What can we do to motivate each other? How can we help each other get excited again? We're over the half way mark of our little adventure and it seems like we aren't getting the results everyone expected...

SO, WHAT SHOULD WE DO ???
How can we inspire each other to move beyond our discouragement and motivate ourselves to continue the battle to be healthy??

Just a Thought About Exercise

Beginning an exercise routine is probably the hardest, but most important part of weight loss. My husband is sooooo busy that we hardly get time with him, so getting to the gym is a huge challenge. Plus, by the end of the day he is exhausted and wants to relax. So, we have added nightly walks to our life. This is a great way for all of us to get out, a time for us to chat, and an excuse to burn a few calories. Dieting and exercise can become a negative or a positive thing in your life. By changing slowly and adding positive activities into your daily schedule you can lose weight without the added stress and anxiety.
